Writeup/Notes:

This was the first BMW event of the year I was able to do, and these are great for development, since you get 8 runs in the car. Since this was only my second time on the Kumhos, Mike and I played with tire pressures quite a lot, and I think we got to a good setting - 37/34.

Looking at the video, it's plain to see that I have plenty of improvement to do with driving. I'm still too far off the cones, especially on the RH side, and I kept overcooking the stupid turnaround at this Coors field course. This was the fastest course I've driven yet in the Corvette, since the entire back stretch of the course, I needed third gear! It wasn't until my last 2 runs that I finally did shift into third, since my recent change of moving to LFB'ing made wanting to move my foot over to the clutch...not very attractive. So, I finished those last 2 runs with my right foot. Oh yeah, and listen for the great heel-toe downshifts at the end of the last 2 runs - sounds great :)

On the upside, the car continued to feel *great* in the higher speed stuff, even though it did understeer some in the slower corners. The car transitions very well, but seems to have a basic understeer balance, which hopefully the upcoming changes will help ameliorate.

On the fun-side of things, until the 6th runs of the day, I had FTD, which I'd never done before, but Feldpusch, as always, snatched it away in fine fashion, ultimately besting my best time by 0.8 seconds. *sigh*. We were also the quickest in our respective run groups, so we got to take a drive in a promo Z4 BMW that Gebhart BMW of Boulder brought out for fun. I did a 60.2 to his 58.6 or so, so he smacked me there again too. Damn you Feldpusch! (we always have a good-natured competition...)
